JIMMY GIFT, SR, DB, RICHMOND, VA/COLLEGIATE

A junior from Richmond, Va., Gift helped lead the W&L football team to a 34-12 win over Guilford College on Saturday by totaling eight tackles, four pass breakups and one interception. The reigning ODAC Defensive Player of the Week, Gift was a major factor in the Generals' defense holding the Quakers' top-ranked passing offense to 152 yards below their average. The 5-11, 185-pound cornerback capped the scoring when he picked off a pass in the fourth quarter and returned it 73 yards for a touchdown, his second TD of the season. Gift currently leads the defense with 43 tackles this season.
