A sophomore forward from Jackson, Miss., Van Devender helped lead the Generals women's soccer team to the championship of the W&L Invitational over the weekend by totaling three goals and two assists in two games. She notched one goal and one assist in a 2-0 win over Kenyon on Saturday, then returned on Sunday to post two goals and one assist in a 4-0 win over Southwestern. For her efforts, Van Devender was named the Invitational's MVP.
