ASSISTANT COACH DAVID SIGLER
Sigler, who pitched for the Generals from 1998-01, served as a full-time assistant last season and returns as a volunteer assistant this season. He originally returned to W&L after spending the 2002 season
as an assistant coach at Franklin & Marshall. There he helped
lead the Diplomats to a school-record 31-win season against 10 losses.
Sigler was instrumental in the development of seven players who earned
all-conference honors, including the co-player of the year. A four-year letterwinner and former co-captain, Sigler holds W&L
career records for games started in a season (13), wins in a season
(8), complete games in a season (9) and career (26), innings pitched
in a game (13), season (85.2) and career (256) and strikeouts in a
season (77). A former two-time First Team All-ODAC selection, he finished
his career with a 21-15 record and 3.63 ERA. Sigler graduated with a B.S. in business administration and earned his master's in sports management in 2002 from Millersville University. He now works at W&L as the Assistant Director of the Annual Fund.
