In his first season as a member of the Washington and Lee men's lacrosse coaching staff is Dan Grattan.
Grattan is no stranger to W&L lacrosse having been a three-year letterwinner for the Generals from 1997-2000.

Grattan returned to W&L following a two-year stint as a sales associate with the Insignia/ESG Corporation in Bethesda, Md. During this time, he also served as an assistant lacrosse coach at George C. Marshall High School in Falls Church, Va.

As a player for the Generals, Grattan recorded a .627 save percentage and 5.46 goals-against average for his career in helping lead the Generals to three NCAA Tournament berths during his four years. Following his junior season in 1999, Grattan won the team's T.W. Martin Award given to the player who best exemplifies spirit, desire and dedication.

Grattan earned a bachelor of arts degree in journalism and mass communications from W&L in the spring of 2000.
