Nate Hoey, W&L's first-year Fitness Center Director and Strength Coach, also enters his first season as the Generals' assistant track coach.

Hoey comes to Washington and Lee following one year as the Wellness Director at the Brandywine Square YMCA in Downingtown, Pa. While there, his responsibilities included staff supervision, performing fitness evaluations, budgeting, equipment purchasing, equipment maintenance and developing wellness programs.

Hoey also served as a Speed, Agility and Quickness Director for Lightning Fast Training Systems, an athletic performance company, in Downingtown from May of 2000 until September of 2001. He had also been an assistant track and field and cross country coach at West Chester University since November of 2000.

Hoey, a four-year member of the track team at Slippery Rock University, graduated from there in 2000 with a B.S. in exercise management.
