ELOISE PRIEST EARNS ALL-AMERICAN HONORS
Senior Named To First Team For Second Consecutive Season

Senior defender Eloise Priest earned First Team All-American honors
for the second consecutive season

LEXINGTON, Va. -- Washington and Lee senior defender Eloise Priest (Alexandria,
Va./St. Stephens-St.Agnes) was named to the 2002 Intercollegiate Women's
Lacrosse Coaches Association/U.S. Lacrosse All-American team on Monday
afternoon as a first team selection.
Priest, who also earned First Team All-America honors as a junior, spearheaded
a W&L defense that finished second in the ODAC and ranked 14th in
Division III, allowing just 7.41 goals per game. She caused a team-high
41 turnovers and picked up 35 ground balls this year.
In addition, Priest was a First-Team All-ODAC pick for the third straight
season and a First Team All-South selection for the second straight year.
She also garnered a spot on the ODAC All-Tournament Team for the second
consecutive year.
The Generals concluded their season with an overall record of 11-6. W&L
advanced to the ODAC Championship game where it was defeated by Randolph-Macon,
12-11, in overtime.
