LEXINGTON, Va. -- Washington and Lee senior defender Eloise Priest (Alexandria, Va./St. Stephens-St.Agnes) was named to the 2002 Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association/U.S. Lacrosse All-American team on Monday afternoon as a first team selection.

Priest, who also earned First Team All-America honors as a junior, spearheaded a W&L defense that finished second in the ODAC and ranked 14th in Division III, allowing just 7.41 goals per game. She caused a team-high 41 turnovers and picked up 35 ground balls this year.

In addition, Priest was a First-Team All-ODAC pick for the third straight season and a First Team All-South selection for the second straight year. She also garnered a spot on the ODAC All-Tournament Team for the second consecutive year.

The Generals concluded their season with an overall record of 11-6. W&L advanced to the ODAC Championship game where it was defeated by Randolph-Macon, 12-11, in overtime.
