CHRIS SULLIVAN SELECTED TO AP LITTLE ALL-AMERICA TEAM LEXINGTON, Va. -- Junior running back Chris Sullivan (San Antonio, Texas/Alamo
Heights) was recently named to the Associated Press Little All-America
Football Team. He was a third team selection as an all-purpose runner. The 5-foot-8, 165-pound Sullivan had a career season, leading Division
III with 2,024 all-purpose yards (202.4 ypg). He rushed for 1,189 yards
and eight touchdowns on a school-record 253 carries, caught 27 passes
for 268 yards and another touchdown, returned 19 punts for 204 yards and
returned 13 kicks for 347 yards and one touchdown. Following the season,
Sullivan was also named First Team All-State (Roanoke Times and Virginia
SID's), First Team All-ODAC and Third Team All-South Region. Washington and Lee finished the 2001 season with a 5-5 overall record,
3-3 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference. The Generals finished in
a four-way tie for second place in the conference standings. -- GENERALS --
