LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee golf team is ranked 24th in
the GolfStat Division III fall rankings released on Monday afternoon.
The Generals completed the fall season with a 301.7 stroke average over
six rounds. Several W&L individuals are also listed among the nation's best.
Senior Kyle Ulep (Annapolis, Md./St. Mary's) ranks third in fairways hit
(.732) and fourth in putts on the green (1.88). Junior Chip Campbell (Memphis,
Tenn./Memphis University School) ranks seventh in putts on the green (1.89)
and eighth in greens in regulation (.574), while senior Curtis Bethea
(New Orleans, La./Metairie Park Country Day) ranks seventh in fairways
hit (.667). Campbell completed the fall season with a team-leading 73.5 stroke average,
while Ulep posted a 74.0 stroke average. Bethea claimed an 80.0 stroke
average for the fall. Washington and Lee will begin its spring season on Feb. 24-26 as it competes
in the Pfeiffer University Pine Needles Invitational in Southern Pines,
