W&L GOLF RANKED 22ND IN PRECEPT DIVISION III POLL
Generals Begin Fall Season on Feb. 24-26

NORMAN, Okla. -- The Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) released its Precept Division III poll on Thursday afternoon and Washington and Lee is ranked 22nd according to the poll.

The Generals are among two ODAC schools recognized as Guilford College is ranked fourth overall. Other Virginia schools included are Averett University (11th) and Christopher Newport University (15th).

Methodist College sits atop the poll followed by Greensboro College, Oglethorpe University, Guilford, Savannah College of Art & Design, Otterbein College, Gustavus Adolphus College, University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire, Skidmore College and St, John's (Minn.) University.

Washington and Lee finished the fall season with a 301.7 team stroke average. The Generals will begin their spring season at the Pfeiffer Pine Needles Invitational on Feb. 24-26 in Southern Pines, N.C.
