W&L WOMEN'S TENNIS CHOSEN AS NCAA TOURNAMENT HOST SITE
Generals To Face Mary Washington On Wednesday

LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee women's tennis team was chosen as one of eight schools to host first and second round matches of the 2002 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championships.

The Generals (18-2) will square off against Mary Washington (12-5) in the first round of the tournament on Wednesday at 3:30 pm on the W&L Upper Courts, while Methodist (13-1) will take on Salisbury (13-3) in the other first round match Wednesday at 3:30 pm on the W&L Lower Courts.

The first round winners will meet on Thursday at 1:00 pm on the W&L Upper Courts for the right to advance to the National Quarterfinals. The quarterfinals, semifinals and finals will take place at Sweet Briar College in Amherst, Va., from May 17-22.
