W&L BASEBALL RANKED SEVENTH IN SOUTH REGION
LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee baseball team has
received a No. 7 ranking in the South Region in the latest American Baseball
Coaches Association/Collegiate Baseball NCAA Division III Poll that was
released on Monday afternoon. Additionally, the Generals received votes for the national
poll and are currently situated just outside the Top 30. Virginia Wesleyan, ranked 27th nationally and tied for
fourth in the South region, is the only Old Dominion Athletic Conference
in the poll. Over the weekend, W&L split a doubleheader with the Marlins,
winning the first game (3-0) before dropping the nightcap (3-7). The Generals currently sport a 17-3 record overall, 10-2 in the ODAC. They are in action again this afternoon hosting Roanoke for a 3:00 pm contest. --GENERALS-- |
