W&L WOMEN'S SOCCER CONCLUDES SEASON WITH NO. 16 RANKING
First Time Generals Finish Season In Top 25

LEXINGTON, Va. -- After a season in which the Washington and Lee women's soccer team attained its first-ever national ranking, won its first ODAC Championship and advanced to its first NCAA Division III Tournament, the Generals earned a No. 16 ranking in the final NSCAA/adidas National Rankings.

W&L wrapped up the 2002 season with a school-record 17 wins against two losses and three ties. The Generals rode a 20-game unbeaten streak to the ODAC Championship and berth in the NCAA Tournament where they advanced to the NCAA South Region semifinals.
