W&L's BEN KRASNOFF NAMED PRESEASON ALL-AMERICAN
LEXINGTON, Va. -- Washington and Lee senior linebacker Ben
Krasnoff (Towson, Md./Towson) was selected as a Second Team Preseason
All-American by Lindy's College Football Preview Magazine. Krasnoff earned First Team All-ODAC, First Team All-State
and First Team All-South Region honors following last season. He led the
ODAC with an average of 10.4 tackles per game, totaling 94 tackles in
nine games. He also led W&L with 16 tackles for a loss, two of which
were sacks. Krasnoff is the third W&L football player to receive
Preseason All-America accolades from Lindy's in the last two years. Running
back Chris Sullivan and offensive lineman Mat Rapoza were both cited last
year. Bridgewater linebacker Jermaine Taylor and Guilford defensive
lineman Brian Person were also among the 2003 first or second teams. Taylor
was a first team selection, while Person received a second team nod. Bridgewater
was ranked fifth in the magazine's preseason Top 20. Washington and Lee finished the 2002 season with a 5-5
overall record. The Generals were 3-3 in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference,
tying for third place. W&L returns eight starters on offense and seven
