W&L's CAMPBELL TO PLAY IN NCAA GOLF CHAMPIONSHIPS
Campbell Among Five Individuals Selected

LEXINGTON, Va. -- Washington and Lee senior Chip Campbell (Memphis, Tenn./Memphis University School) has been selected to participate in the NCAA Division III Golf Championships held May 12-15 at the Dornoch Golf Club in Delaware, Ohio.

Campbell was one of five individuals selected to participate in the tournament and is the first W&L player to receive an invite since Rick Burrice in 1999. A two-time First Team All-ODAC selection, Campbell finished the regular season with a 75.4 stroke average over 18 rounds.

As a team, the Generals narrowly missed a bid to the 23-team NCAA Tournament as six teams were selected from the NCAA South Region.
