PRESEAON OUTDOOR TRACK AND FIELD POLL ANNOUNCED
LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee men's and women's
track and field teams were picked to finish fourth and fifth, respectively,
in the Old Dominion Athletic Conference Preseason Coaches Poll which was
released on Tuesday.
On the men's side, five-time defending ODAC champ Lynchburg
is the preseason favorite, garnering four first-place votes. Following
the Hornets are Bridgewater (one first-place vote), Eastern Mennonite
and Roanoke and Washington and Lee in a tie for fourth.
Leading the Generals returnees is senior co-captain Chris
Sullivan (San Antonio, Texas/Alamo Heights). Last year Sullivan won the
long jump (6.69 meters), finished second in the 100-meter dash (11.20),
fifth in the 200-meter dash (23.55) and seventh in the javelin (41.87
