W&L WOMEN'S LACROSSE EARNS BERTH IN NCAA TOURNAMENT
Generals To Face Mary Washington In First Round

LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee women's lacrosse team will face Mary Washington in a first-round game of the NCAA Division III Tournament. The game will be played at 2:00 p.m., on Sat., May 10, at The College of New Jersey.

The winner will advance to the second round and face the winner of The College of New Jersey's game with the play-in game winner (Cabrini and Gordon).

W&L and Mary Washington have squared off once this season already, with the Generals taking a 10-9 decision on March 22 in Fredericksburg, Va.

The College of New Jersey (13-0) was awarded the region's top seed and will host the first two rounds. The second-round game will be played on Sunday.

The 10th-ranked Generals earned an automatic bid to the tournament after capturing the ODAC Championship on Sun., Apr. 27, with an 11-7 win over Roanoke.
