Bogart And Janowitz To Represent W&L

Senior attacker Leslie Bogart

LEXINGTON, Va. -- Senior attacker Leslie Bogart (Wilton, Conn./Wilton) and senior defender Sarah Janowitz (Bel Air, Md./C. Milton Wright) were named to the 2003 STX Farewell Lacrosse Festival Division III North-South Senior All-Star game.

The game will be played on Sat., June 7, at Loyola College in Baltimore, Md., at 2:00 p.m.

Bogart finished her career with 230 career points, tied for the all-time W&L lead with Lisa Dowling '93. A 2003 Second Team All-ODAC selection, Bogart's 43 assists this season were a W&L single-season record, while her 136 career assists are also a program-best.

Janowitz, the 2003 ODAC Player of the Year and first team all-conference selection, led the Generals with a team-high 70 ground balls this season. This season, she helped hold the opposition to an average of 6.90 goals per game.

Washington and Lee finished its season with a 15-3 mark overall. The Generals defeated Roanoke, 11-7, on Sun., Apr. 27, to win the ODAC Championship and earn a berth to the NCAA Tournament. Their season ended on Saturday with a 12-7 loss to Mary Washington in the first round of the NCAAs.
