Senior Linebacker Among 71 Players Chosen to Compete

Senior Linebacker Ben Krasnoff

PETERSBURG, Va. -- Washington and Lee senior linebacker Ben Krasnoff (Towson, Md./Towson) was among 71 football players chosen to play in the Third Annual City of Petersburg East Coast Bowl on Sat., Nov. 29 at Historic Cameron Field in Petersburg, Va.

The game features draft eligable players from NCAA Division II and III schools in Virginia, North Carolina, South Carolina, Tennessee, Maryland, New Jersey, Pennsylvania, West Virginia and Delaware. Krasnoff joins Chris Sullivan '03 and Mat Rapoza '03 as Generals to have played in the game. Sullivan was named the MVP of last season's game.

All money raised from the game goes towards a scholarship fund for area high school players planning on attending a Division II or III school.

Krasnoff, who entered the season a Preseason Second Team All-America pick by Lindy's and Football Gazette, was a Second Team All-ODAC choice in 2003 after he ranked third among the Generals and fifth in the ODAC with 7.4 tackles per game. He was a First Team All-ODAC, First Team All-Region and First Team All-State selection last season.

Joining Krasnoff from the ODAC are Hampden-Sydney seniors Bobby Brink and Conrad Singh.

Washington and Lee finished the 2003 season with a 3-7 overall record, 1-5 in the ODAC.
