W&L CHOSEN AS NCAA WOMEN'S TENNIS HOST SITE LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee women's tennis
team was chosen as one of eight schools to host first and second round
matches of the 2004 NCAA Division III Women's Tennis Championships. The second-ranked Generals (21-3) will square off against
Mary Washington (8-8) in the first round of the tournament on Saturday
on the William C. Washburn Courts. In the other first round match, Swarthmore
(14-2) will take on Salisbury (7-5) on the W&L Upper Courts. Both
matches will start at 1:00 pm. The first-round winners will meet on Sunday at 1:00 pm on
the W&L Upper Courts for the right to advance to the National Quarterfinals.
The quarterfinals, semifinals and finals will take place at Rhodes starting
