W&L WOMEN'S SOCCER EARNS ACADEMIC AWARD
Generals Honored For Team GPA in 2002

LEXINGTON, Va. -- The National Soccer Coaches Association of American (NSCAA) recently released its College Team Academic Award Winners from the 2002 season and Washington and Lee women's soccer was among those listed.

The Generals were one of 264 women's soccer programs from all divisions honored for achieving a team grade-point average of 3.0 or higher for the 2002-03 school year. W&L's team total was 3.39.

The awards will be presented at the College Coaches Luncheon on Thursday, Jan. 15, 2004, as part of the 57th Annual NSCAA Convention, to be held in Charlotte, N.C., Jan. 14-18, 2004.
