Generals Looking to Claim 12th Consecutive ODAC Championship

LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) released its women's swimming preseason poll on Friday and Washington and Lee was picked first among the conference's six teams.

W&L, the 11-time defending ODAC champions, received 28 points and three first place votes. Randolph-Macon was second with 27 points and two first place votes followed by Randolph-Macon Woman's College, which received 17 points.

The Generals had an overall record of 7-4 and a 3-1 mark in the ODAC last season, and return six swimmers who were named to the 2003-04 All-ODAC team.

W&L opens up the 2004 season at Transylvania University against Transylvania and DePauw on Sat., Oct. 23. The meet begins at 10:00 am.
