W&L MEN'S SWIMMING RANKED 15TH IN THE NATION
LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee men's swimming
team is the 15th ranked Division III team with 178.29 points, according
to the latest poll on collegeswimming.com. Emory University sits atop
the rankings with 237.98 points.
Sophomore Michael Ginder (Jacksonville, Fla./Episcopal)
also finds himself ranked among the nation's elite. His time of 1:41.57
in the 200-yard freestyle is the fourth fastest time in Division III,
while he is sixth in DIII in the 100-yard freestyle with a time of 46.37.
His time in the 100-yard freestyle is the second fastest in W&L history.
Both of these times were swam at the Franklin & Marshall Invitational
on Sat., Dec. 4.
The Generals are 4-0 on the season and will return to the
pool on Sat., Jan. 8, when they host seventh-ranked SUNY-Geneseo. The
meet begins at 6:00 pm.
