W&L's MURPHY NAMED TO WOMENSLACROSSE.COM HONOR ROLL TEAM
Senior Tallied Three Goals in ODAC Championship Game

LEXINGTON, Va. -- Washington and Lee senior midfielder Kitt Murphy (New York, N.Y./St. Catherines) has been named to the Division III Honor Roll Team by womenslacrosse.com for the week ending April 26.

Murphy helped the Generals to their third straight Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Championship by scoring three goals in a 6-5 win over Randolph Macon. W&L trailed 5-2 with 14:54 remaining in the game, but Murphy notched the next three General goals, including the game-tying tally with 5:36 remaining.

On the season, Murphy has eight points on six goals and two assists and has helped the W&L defense rank fourth in the nation by allowing just 5.41 goals per game.

W&L is currently ranked 12th in Division III and finished the regular season with a 14-3 overall record and a perfect 8-0 mark in the ODAC. The Generals return to action in the NCAA Division III Tournament. The NCAA Regionals will take place on Sat., May 14 and Sun., May 15 at a site still to be determined.
