COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. -- Washington and Lee junior setter Christine Gladysz (Palm Harbor, Fla./Berkeley Prep) and senior outside hitter Emily Wolfing (Mt. Airy, Md./South Carroll) have been named to the American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Division III All-America team.

Gladysz was named to the third team for the second straight season, while Wolfing garnered honorable mention recognition.

She also notched 374 digs, 71 kills, 61 blocks and 55 service aces on the season. Gladysz will enter her senior season ranked first all-time at W&L in career assists (3,870), third in service aces (190) and fouth in digs (1,192).

Wolfing was named Honorable Mention All-American after earning First Team All-South Region honors earlier this season. A two-time First Team All-ODAC selection, Wolfing led the Generals in 2004 with 454 kills. She also added 412 digs, 58 blocks and 53 service aces. Wolfing graduates as W&L's all-time leader in career digs (1,557) and ranks second all-time in career kills (1,490) and career games played (471). Additionally, her 182 service aces are fourth all-time.

Wolfing joins Gladysz and junior middle blocker Susan Gaillard (Charleston, S.C./Porter-Gaud) as the only W&L volleyball players to have ever received All-America honors.

W&L finished the 2004 season with a 28-8 overall record. The Generals claimed their fourth straight ODAC Championship and advanced to the NCAA Tournament South Region Semifinals.
