W&L WOMEN'S TRACK & FIELD RANKED 28TH IN NCAA
DIVISION III LEXINGTON, Va. -- The 2005 NCAA Division III Track &
Field National Power Rankings were recently released and the Washington
and Lee women's track & field team is ranked 28th overall with 69.55
points. They are also ranked third in the NCAA South Region. On the national level, the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh
sits atop the poll with 132.54 points. The rest of the top five are Carthage
College (122.59), the University of Wisconsin-Stout (120.80), Augustana
College (120.58), and the University of Chicago (114.79). In the NCAA South Region, Lynchburg is ranked No. 1 with
96.32 points and is followed by McMurry University (71.36), Washington
and Lee (69.55), Texas Lutheran (61.30), and Emory University (59.81). The rankings are organized by the MF-Athletic company and are done by using scoring tables to score the best two athletes in each event contested at the NCAA Division III National Championships. --GENERALS-- |
