CHRISTINE GLADYSZ NAMED ODAC VOLLEYBALL PLAYER OF THE WEEK
LEXINGTON, Va. -- Washington and Lee senior setter Christine Gladysz (Palm Harbor, Fla./Berkeley Prep) has been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Volleyball Player of the Week for the week ending October 2.
Gladysz helped lead the Generals to a 3-0 week by averaging 12.89 assists, 2.22 digs, 1.0 blocks, 0.78 kills and 0.33 service aces per game. She also recorded a .389 hitting percentage for the week.
In a win over Franklin & Marshall, Gladysz notched 43 assists, eight digs, four kills and three blocks in just three games. She also tallied 36 assists, nine digs, three blocks and two aces in a 3-0 win over Bridgewater.
A two-time Third Team All-American, Gladysz is currently closing in on the ODAC record for career assists. She claims 4,356 assists, just 120 assists from breaking the mark of 4,475 set by Roanoke's Holly Holland in 2003.
Washington and Lee (12-3, 5-0), winners of 59 straight matches against ODAC opponents, returns to the court on Tuesday as it travels to Randolph-Macon for a 7:00 pm contest.
