Date: May 12, 2006 W&L'S JAMES NAMED THIRD TEAM ALL-AMERICAN LINCOLN, Neb. -- Washington and Lee sophomore Nathaniel James (Keller, Texas/Keller) was named to the PING Division III All-America golf team which was announced on Thursday evening at the Golf Coaches Association of America (GCAA) National Awards Banquet. James was named First Team All-South Region and Third Team All-American following his performance at the NCAA Division III Golf Championships which wrapped up on Thursday evening. James finished tied for 34th out of 120 golfers with a score of 80-78-72-78--308. James is the first W&L golfer to garner All-America honors since Clay Thomas '92 earned Honorable Mention All-America laurels in 1992. The 2006 Old Dominion Athletic Conference Player of the Year, James finished the 2005-06 season with a 73.9 stroke average over 23 rounds. He finished tied for seventh overall at the ODAC Championships in helping lead the Generals to a runner-up finish behind 2005 National Champion Guilford. --GENERALS--
