W&L's MAHONEY NAMED ODAC SWIMMER OF THE WEEK
Freshman Won an Individual Event and Two Relays

LEXINGTON, Va. -- Freshman Susan Mahoney (Richmond, Va./St. Catherines) has been named the Old Dominion Athletic Conference (ODAC) Swimmer of the Week for the week ending Jan. 8.

In a 161-100 victory over ODAC-foe Randolph-Macon on Saturday, Mahoney won an individual event and swam a leg on two first-place relay teams.

Mahoney captured the 200-yard IM in a time of 2:19.47, while swimming a leg on the winning 200-yard medley relay (1:57.72) and 200-yard freestyle relay (1:47.80) teams. She also placed second in the 100-yard breaststroke in a time of 1:15.05.

Washington and Lee is 10-2 overall and finished with a perfect 6-0 mark against ODAC opponents. The Generals will be looking for their school-record 11th win of the season when they host 23rd-ranked SUNY-Geneseo tonight at 6:00 pm.
