W&L WOMEN'S LACROSSE RANKED 13TH BY LACROSSE MAGAZINE
Generals Open Season on Feb. 25 at No. 14 St. Mary's (Md.)

BALTIMORE, Md. -- Lacrosse Magazine recently released its Division I, II and III preseason polls and the Washington and Lee women's team is cited among the nation's elite.

The Generals are ranked 13th overall in voting conducted by the magazine staff, collegiate coaches, and media members.

W&L returns four All-ODAC performers from last season, including a pair of first team selections in senior attacker Amanda Strickler (Lexington, Va./Rockbridge County) and senior midfielder Rachel Wallick (Phoenix, Md./Notre Dame Prep).

Last season, the Generals went 15-4 overall and 8-0 ODAC, claiming their third consecutive ODAC Championship. They also won their first-ever NCAA Tournament game with an 11-9 win over Amherst before falling to eventual NCAA runner-up Salisbury.

W&L opens the 2006 season on Sat., Feb. 25 at No. 14 St. Mary's (Md.) at 3:00 pm.
