W&L Ranked 11th in Preseason Men's Lacrosse Poll
Dougherty Heads Returnees from 11-3 Squad

Washington and Lee's men's lacrosse team has been ranked 11th in the Face-Off magazine preseason Division III poll. Defending national champion Nazareth was voted No. 1 in the survey of 67 Division III head coaches.

W&L is coming off of an 11-3 season in which it suffered two one-goal losses to finish ranked 13th in the final USILA poll of the season. The top returnee for the Generals is senior midfielder Ed Dougherty who earned honorable mention All-America honors last year after scoring 27 goals.

The Generals open their 15-game slate on February 25 at Guilford College. Ten of W&L's 15 games are against teams ranked in the Top 30 by Face-Off, highlighted by matchups against fifth-ranked Gettysburg (March 15 in Lexington) and sixth-ranked Roanoke (March 28th in Salem).
