WOMEN'S LACROSSE RANKED SIXTH IN NATIONAL POLL
The Washington and Lee women's lacrosse team has jumped to the No. 6 spot in this week's Intercollegiate Women's Lacrosse Coaches Association Division III poll. This is the first of a series of polls that will be released every week for the remainder of the season.
The Generals (9-1, 7-0 Old Dominion Athletic Conference) have beaten two teams in the poll, No. 9 Franklin & Marshall and No. 19 Denison. They suffered their only loss of the season to No. 10 Colby.
Last week, the Generals defeated arch-rival Roanoke College, previously ranked No. 7 by a score of 10-9.
The Generals will return to action on Monday afternoon when they play at St. Mary's in a match that will begin at 4:00.
