HAMPDEN-SYDNEY, Va. -- At the annual Old Dominion Athletic Conference football media day held Friday afternoon on the campus of Hampden-Sydney, the league's preseason poll was announced. Washington & Lee was picked to finish fourth overall of the league's six football member schools in voting conducted by the league's coaches.
The ODAC's top vote-getter was Emory & Henry followed by Randolph-Macon, Guilford, W&L, Hampden-Sydney, and Bridgewater.
W&L finished with a 4-6 overall record last season, 2-3 in the ODAC and the Generals return 57 letterwinners and 14 starters, nine of which are on the offensive side of the ball.
W&L will open its season on September 12, when it hosts Johns Hopkins in a non-league contest at 1:30 pm at Wilson Field.
