WINGATE, N.C. -- Washington and Lee senior outside hitter Nancy Reinhart (Louisville, Ky./Sacred Heart) was recently honored with a selection to the GTE Academic All-District III Volleyball First-Team. Reinhart is the first volleyball player in W&L history to be honored to the first-team.
Reinhart's stellar career for the Generals was capped this season by the school's first ever trip to the NCAA Division III Volleyball Tournament at Emory University in Atlanta, Ga.
In her four years at W&L, Reinhart was named to the All-ODAC First-Team three times. As a sophomore, she was named the ODAC Player of the Year. She graduates as the W&L and ODAC all-time leader in both kills and digs. In all, she has set 10 W&L single-game, single-season, and career records.
This season, Reinhart totaled 320 kills, 429 digs, and 37 aces to lead the Generals to their third consecutive ODAC Tournament Championship. She is set to graduate in June with a double major in political science and journalism.
With her selection to the All-District Team, Reinhart is automatically entered into consideration for Academic All-American status.
