LEXINGTON, Va. -- The Washington and Lee volleyball team will participate in its first-ever NCAA Tournament after defeating Roanoke College, 3-0, in the finals of the ODAC Tournament on Saturday evening.
The Generals, seeded sixth for the NCAA Regional Tournament, are slated to face the third-seeded team in Savannah College of Art and Design on Thursday, Nov. 11, at 7:30 pm at Emory University in Atlanta, Ga.
Trinity University (Texas) is the region's No. 1 seed and host Emory is the second seed. Both will receive a first round bye. Austin College, the No. 4 seed, and Averett College, the No. 5 seed, will also face off against one another.
W&L and Savannah A&D have squared off once already this season in the Maryville Invitational. SCAD pulled out a close match over the Generals, 9-15, 15-9, 16-14, 11-15, 21-23.
