Washington and Lee plays its home volleyball matches, basketball games and wrestling matches in the 2,500-seat arena located in the J.W. Warner Center, a five-story athletic complex completed in 1972. The Warner Center, which is connected to the University's original gymnasium, the Doremus Gymnasium, has hosted two NCAA regional basketball tournaments and an NCAA regional wrestling tournament.

The Warner Center features sideline seating and a raised press box that seats 25.

The athletic complex, named for former W&L trustee Jonathan Westervelt Warner (W&L '40), also features a six-lane swimming pool; team rooms for W&L's athletic teams; a fully-equipped weight room; an excellent training facility; handball, racketball, and squash courts; a baseball batting cage; an equipment room and offices for W&L coaches and athletic administrators.

Since beginning play in the Warner Center in 1988 the Generals have compiled a record of 93-35, including a 57-6 mark the last six years.
