GENERALS ROUND OUT THRILLING WEEK WITH 56-55 SQUEAKER @ E&H
W&L ended possibly the greatest week in program history with a 56-55 win a Emory and Henry on Saturday afternoon. The Generals were down 53-47 with 3:22 left in the game, but rallied to outscore 8-2 the rest of the way. Freshman center Jessica Mentz scored with 13 ticks left to give the Generals the lead for good and their program-record fourth win in a row.

The win comes on the heels of a 71-70 win over Virginia Wesleyan on Tuesday evening in which junior guard Ansley Miller sunk two free throws with 2.5 seconds remaining to give the Generals their first ever win vs. VWC. On Thursday evening, Mentz lit up the Warner Center for 30 points, a program record in leading the Generals to an 82-54 defeat of Lynchburg.

WILDCATS, QUAKERS AWAIT IN THE WINGS
The Generals can finally step away from their travelling schedule for a while as they welcome Randolph-Macon Woman's College and Guilford to the Warner Center this week. On Tuesday, R-MWC visits. The WildCats are led by junior center Tara Carleton, who leads the ODAC in scoring with 24.2 ppg and rebounding with 11.2 rpg. R-MWC won the first meeting between the two squads on Dec. 8 in Lynchburg, 86-79. Revenge will be on the mind of Guilford when they visit Lexington on Saturday. The Generals overcame an 18-point first half deficit in Greensboro to take home a 63-61 victory. The win was W&LUs first in ten tries against the Quakers.
